Who are you?

The name Snookumz is my nickname that I have had since I was a baby (a rather chunky baby) given to me by my uncle ♥. I soon grew appreciate it & the meaning behind it even in public settings.

What is this site for?

The purpose of this site is to provide resources to multimedia designers at the best price -free. Along with manipulation and design tools, many tutorials are also available to help anyone learn more about achieving effects in their favorite design program. Starting out as a “copy-and-paste code” graphics site, Snookumz expanded to encompass different forms and methods for design, mostly by use of free programs.

To sum it up, if my brain were to explode on the internet, this would be the result. This site serves as a resource site for designers, and hobbyists alike. Everything is free for use, and a link back is all I ask in return so this site can continue to help others.

When did it get started?

Snookumz was created in 2006 after many successful websites. Using MS Paint, MS Word & Photofiltre I created a graphics site for bloggers & MySpace users.

As I got older *ehem* and learned that literacy is also important on the internet, I changed the direction of the site.

In 2009, while on vacation I thought of redesigning the website. So, I did, and a year later (& less 100+ visitors) I reopened snookumz as a resource website. Instead of the copy-and-paste codes, I created tutorials that would teach users how to create the old content I had been offering. I have found that the “teaching man to fish” approach provides benefits to both the user and me as a designer/coder/programmer.
